Run the 5203 and if it is a double sealed race, I pull the seal off on the inside so it can bathe in oil. If you are seeing in your oil that Metallica has been playing, pull it apart and do it right. If it is under warranty, have a dealer pull it apart and do it right.

The reason they use a sealed bearing in this application is because centrifugal force prevents sufficient oil to lubricate the bearing during hard use. By removing your seals your just starving your bearing of lubrication.
 
I am so pissed right now. i have done every mod to my sled myself and spent hundreds of hours, but taking the dd off freaks me out? You guys do this yourself? I am just confused about the pulling off the bearing?

Removing the diamond drive on your sled is extremely easy . . and I recommend removing it to do the bearing swap, it is so much easier to do it on the bench, and easier to get it put back together properly. PM me if you have any questions, we have done several bearing updates.
 
racinstation.....answer your pm's and you'll sell many maps for fuel controllers for 09 m's.......have a lot of buddys waiting for them and more than willing to pay.....might as well cash in if you got what works for them!
