been trying to find actual weight h/p numbers. all i can find on thier website is 10% more power, after market company saw easy 160hp. wheres ac's official numbers???? can see where they mention weight savings, but on the 800 they don't mention the 8 pounds or so they're gaining by the new can. by my adding that cuts any weight savings they may have saved in the engine/seat...

those numbers where test model numbers they probably did not have to come up to epa specs. i debt they will put out 160 but it would be cool. as far as weight it sounds like they have a good pipe but everyone is going to need to get a new can and probably drop at least 10 lbs right there

I kinda believe the claimed hp numbers if that engine is going to rev 8300 rpm, but i guess we will have to wait and see. I know at the dealership here they said the hcr had a noticable amount more power than the sno pro probably due to different mapping but things could change in the production models can't wait to see, i am sure itching to go for a ride not much longer woohoo!!!!

zero difference in hp

probly because of the stiffer track in spring snow conditions, hooked up much better and made it seem like there is more power.

Hp #s

I did read 163.9 hp @ 8300 rpm but this was done by an independant company. {Dyno Tech} i beleive. AC hasn't printed there # for the last few years don't know why? As for the weight you are correct the 10's will probably weight the same unless you replace the muffler which should be good for 15 lbs. At least i on my M1K it was 14lbs. After talking to a guy with some seat time on a 10 he said it was comparable to a well running well clutched and piped 09.

So I wonder if the 10s will really be clutched right out of the box since they Had 5 years to figure it it out I just ordered an800M as My spare an my spare I always ride stock which for me means no turbo so I am hoping it is going to be as strong as my XP is.

they might have added the new skis too, they arent on the website anymore, but i was in country cat in sauke centre, MN the other day and they had a 2010 crossfire 600 with the new skis on it.

The M8 didn't have the poor clutching the M1 did so i think you need not be worried. The 09 i rode worked good out of the box.
