how ironic is this? on the same day that i find out about a honda snowmobile i hear that john deere is coming out with a diesel snowmobile.

I don't know why everybody gets so excited about a honda snowmobile. From what I've seen in the atv world and dirt bike world, they haven't made anything cutting edge or even any more reliable than what everybody else has. Can't see why they would break from that form and do it with a snowmobile. By the way, that is just my take on things, so fire away!

I don't know about that, there Unicam CRF motor runs pretty hard and has its advantages over a DOHC. Not to mention, Honda/Acura has been at the cutting edge of technology for all there LeMans/Rolex cars, very impressive technology, doesn't the new Acura TSX have silicon impregnated cylinder walls? Not to mention their fuel injection systems alone have been very impressive, they have the R&D department to back them up.

And as for reliablility, I own a 1990 Acura Legend with the big V6 in it, 206k miles on her and she will still bounce off the rev-limiter on a regular basis! Hard running little car, will be my sand rail motor when I finally total the little racecar.

But yes, the CRF isn't a sure winner by any means in the supercross/motocross arena, all the bikes are soooooo close anymore the bike probably has less than 10% of an effect on what happens and who wins. So, I guess that if they ever did make the leap into the sled world I would hope that Honda would bring some new technologies over to hopefully keep them around a little bit farther into the future!
