Call DynoJet TECH SUPPORT in Las Vegas.

Some had an issue with a micro-switch that needed to be replaced with a similar one that req'd less voltage to operate it on start -up.

They're real good on warranty, if you need it rushed back to you they'll accommodate you.

They'll send out a new unit, none of this wait-to-repair-your unit crap.

Even if there's no program (ALL ZERO's) on the PC-3/5 it will still start & run with the STOCK POLARIS E.C.U. mapping

If the power commander is hooked up it will not start regardless of which map is installed, if i disconnect the power commander it will start. when i pull the starter rope the power and status lights on the power commander will light up.

I had the exact same problem with mine this fall. After talking to Dynotech Jim, he told me to move my ground wire. I had it grounded to post on the plate that holds all the electronics. He told me to move it to the ground post on the clutch gaurd all the way on the backside (not on the isolated electronics plate), fired right up!

thanks to all for the help, after moving the ground wire the sled fired right up. thanks again

Ok, guys, I am holding a PC5 in my hands right now and there is no ground wire on it... just the pigtail connectors that plug in to the ECU and the wiring harness. Are you talking about the autotune add-on? Or am I missing something? I have not installed it yet, obviously since it is sitting in my lap. Reading the instructions I also don't see anything about a ground wire... more info please...

i believe they are talking about the ground for the factory ECU that is located on the clutch cover. redo the ground connection; i've got a brand new ground strap connecting everything together; chassis, clutch cover, etc.

There is a small single wire that comes out of the PC5 harness about halfway between the module and where the large cable splits for the ECU connnections.

You may have an older pcv.

No wire coming out of that harness... part number on my box is 19-007 and 70-125, has another sticker saying 70-216 map installed. Purchased used but in great shape, appears to have come from SLP originally with those numbers on it.

So I guess I don't have to worry about it? Checking the install instructions pdf on slp's site shows no ground wire either.

Wierd.

In 2010 I purchased one for my 2008 Dragon from SLP and it didn't have a ground wire on it, mine runs fine. Had a friend that purchased one in 2011 for his 2009 Dragon and his had a ground wire on it, and when we plugged it in it didn't want to run, unplugged it the sled would run. Had the programmer reflashed then it worked fine.

Mine also has part #19-007, purchased new in 2011 with a custom map from DynoTech Research (aka Dynotech Jim). Maybe the manufacturer, Dynojet, made an update in 2011 with the extra ground wire?

CFI-4 models have them. Seems like the new stock has ground wires while the old ones didn't. No big deal, if it's got one hook it up. If not, don't worry.

Correct, mine specifically says CFI-4 and has the wire, and It will not run if not hooked up.
