2010 Dragon 800

Check your spark plug caps. I have found two sleds that had loose fitting spark plug caps and created carbon build up. Took one on a test ride about an hour away from the shop to test. Engine cut out to @6600 rpm then would pick back up. Acted like the timing was retarding. No codes on DIgital Wrench and no flashing dash. After cleaning the spark plugs and installing new caps it never missed a beat. Customer was very happy- he had heard the horror stories abut the 800cfi and was about to abandon ship. Hope this helps.

While riding mine last Sunday, out of the blue it quite firing on one cylinder. When I opened the hood, found the plug wire had fallen off. I pushed it back on, checked the other and closed it up. Sled started right up and sounded great again. Well as the revs climbed, it ran like crap and would cut out at full throttle. Finally put two new plugs in. It ran better, but still was cutting out at WOT. This lasted about 10 min then all was well again. Mabey need to look at getting a couple of new caps? Wierd stuff.

The plug connection goes bad fast! Replace the plugs and stuff full of dielectric grease! Use eridium's!!!!!

Sleds

we have had some issues like that who are you taking it to.Polaris is helping us out alot with these little issues. First hook up and check codes. We seen alot that we had to put slp plug wire ends on and ngk plugs.could be tps or exhaust sensor. Does it have the newest maps.We have over 100 old 800s out and they all run great!!!

have you seen your temps when its doing this?
i believe the 800's retard to 6500rpm if over a certain temperature(160F i believe)
