2010 cylinder on 2009 case - anyone?

Have a buddy building a motor and he measured his 2010 cylinder and found the skirts were longer by 1/8" and the bottom of the skirts were thicker by 0.035" on each side or 0.070" total diameter of the skirt. Has anyone tried putting a 2010 cylinder on a 09 case and if so did it fit w/o clearance issues???

Longer/thicker skirts will obviously improve the durability of the motor but give up some case volume.

Any info appreciated.

It will not fit unless the cases are machined.
