i have a 2010 assault it has 370 miles on it and the mid range is terrible on it , it hesitates and drops fast , wot runs like a dream but 5500-7000 its a dog polaris in town suggested programmer and slp exhaust, now i picked up a boondocker module and full slp y-pipe pipe and can from a guy off a 09 assault , i know the exhaust all bolts on but will the programming on the boondocker work from 09 to 10 or is it going to be an issue? any help is greatly appreciated thanks

make sure you are runnign the correct weights for your elevation. if you running 10-62's in saskatchewan you are going to have a hesitation. need to be running 10-68's.

Make sure you are running the April flash for the ECU. I am not sure about the Boondocker set up but any kind of fuel controller will help. Heavier clutch weights should help also, the motor seems to run better when under load. I am planning on switching to 10-70's but I dont run any higher than 2000'.

I'm sure the pipe bolts on, but Polaris and SLP list different pipes. 08-09 are the same and 2010 is different. You may have to play with the fuel delivery a bit as all the maps seem to be just a little different.

i have switched back to flatland weights , it ran awesome in the hills snappy and really fun to ride, here its just not the same , i looked into the slp set up its the same y pipe and pipe for 08 -10 but the can is diffrent from the two , as for the april flash i was told not to run the april flash from the guys at polaris and a couple guys running the same sled here , so i dont have that... i was told it dont run well with it? i dont know...

what should this sled be pulling for rpm , in the hills it was pulling 8200 all day here im only getting 78-7900 rpm ?

I have an 09 assault that had similar issues. The april flash fixed my problems in the midrange but also seemed to hurt my topend rpms. I went back to the jan. flash but am still working on my pcv 5 map to make the midrange work right. I am running in MN.

I also am running a Slp silencer for a 2010, the silencer mount is where the big difference is between an 09 and a 10, I had to modify my mount a little to make it fit right.

ya on mine it sits bout three inches above the mount and wont seat properly cuz the chaincase seems to be out farther , ill just have to get the 2010 silencer.

I had the same problem here in SK w/my Assault and a PCV programmer fixed the bog. I run a stock pipe w/SLP can and Dalton adjustable weights. I've set the weights at 10-66 and it pulls 8200 here at home. Helix, primary/secondary springs are all stock as well.

The PCV with one of Dynotech's original maps really did the trick.
