2010 700 rmk rpm loss

My 700 RMK with around 450 miles is down 200 rpm when wide open. Used to run 8200-8300 wide open, now runs at7900-8000. It started about 150 miles ago. I have switched back to the original belt. Both 115s. They each have around 225 miles on them.

The sled is stock, except the hps can, chassis venting, delrin washers in the secondary, and I blocked off the ves hoses. The power valves shouldn't need cleaning yet would they? When I take off, it will rev to 82-8300rpms, then it will pull it down to 7900-8000. The sled seems to be running well, just trying to figure out how to get my rpm back up. I have changed nothing else in the clutching. Thanks, Jesse.

I would check your EVs. Check the bellows and also clean the port on the jug that pressurize the the EV. Its a little port that you can clean with a mettal hanger and make sure your cylinder is at the bottom of the stroke. That little port can get clogged up and cause poor EV performance. I would start here but there is also some other things it could be. Springs, TPS, Exhaust Sensor, Barometric pressure sensor, ETC.

Correct^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I have a 2007 D7, used to have issues w/R.P.M. my offset /engine alignment was way off, 3700 miles now, still pulling 8200+ R.P.M.

Plus check for a broken primary spring

Plug reading??? Mine used to be black all the time, did the PC-3, cardboard brown now.

Also check especially the laundry list of items (especially clutch set-up) in the TECH TIPS FOR 600/700/800 CFI's Free Mods & Best Bang for the Buck Thread (pictures posted) in the INCREASING YOUR IQ threads at the top of this section.

Hope this helps

700s like to breathe

I went with some advice from some thechno guys and put an HPS can and the large air intake, this D7 is happy, everyone that rides it loves the RPM and power its not just noise like the others, we ride 8000-9500 elv

Thanks for the replies. I have checked the valves, they were clean & bellows looked good. I did clean the valves again anyway. The clutch springs looked good as well.

Only thing I can think of that I missed in first post is that the exhaust probe is lose in the nut. There are no codes coming up when it is hooked to the computer. There is some exhaust blowby there. Could that be the cause of my problem? Thanks for the replies guys. Jesse.
