2010 600 RMK - Stalls every few minutes

We took my wifes 600 out last weekend, it ran great on the way in then it started stalling every 5-10 minutes. It would start by loosing function of the gauges then dying. After dark, we noticed it would start with the lights diming and gauges loosing function. After is dies, it will start right back up. I checked, unpluged and pluged back in a bunch of the plugs, but it did not fix it. The warantee ran out a month ago ;)

Any suggestions on what may cause this? I am thinking the regulator may be doing it and resets after it stops. I am hoping it is not the stator, but that would not make sense to start right back up, i could see that if it started running again after cooling down ....

Ideas/suggestions?

thx in advance!!!!

I would be checking for wires rubbed thru, and check the chassis relay..either can cause the MFD to go off...

Thanks AKSnowrider.

Will check for rubbed wires - thing only has 300 miles, but will check - what is he chassis relay?

my 2011 pro had rubbed wires under the console right above the gas cap, it was the wires coming out of the handwarmer switch. Mine did not make it die but the lights would dim and flicker on and off. Your problem sounds more like the voltage regulator and ecu issues that plagued the dragons, I would find the hot wire out of the voltage regulator and check voltage before running it much more.

Call your dealer as your voltage regulator is failing. If you have a good dealer, they should be able to take care of you even being one month out of warranty.
