Just finalized a couple packages for the Expo, and was very surprised by the completed weights. The 1000 package consists of an intake, SW Y, SW Pipe, SW Powder Silencer, SW Sleeper head, BD Fuel Control, BDE Side Panel Vents, Clutching and Calibration. ($1999). This package installed on a 2009 M1000 153 Sno Pro LE yielded a completed running weight (thats wet with 1.G of fuel) of 482.8lbs. That surprised me as an 09 M8 153 Sno Pro LE with a pump gas turbo complete with equal liquid amounts in running condition weighed 482.4 lbs. with the intercooled version weighing exactly 5.7lbs more. Just thought this was good info to share. Anyone who may be interested in viewing these units please stop by the booth at the Denver Snow Expo this weekend. I will bring my scale for verification purposes. See you there.

Have you had it on a Dyno yet?

I have not had either unit on the dyno, however passed versions of that 1000 package produced 187 hp, I have no reason to believe the 09 would not perform at least as well. With regard to the turbo, around 200 hp depending on how far you twist the knob. The big difference is at 10k' the turbo sled still builds around 200, the 1000 drops to around 135. At altitude the comparison ceases to be relative or for that matter even relevant.

VOHK...since you are a good non-biased tested and performance guy I was wondering if you have seen much out of the m1000 pump gas turbos? I have a m1000 and have been throwing the idea around of going pump gas on that motor but am concerned based on the lack of detonation control and the big pistons. I hear you can run around 4-5 PSI and be consistent... Thanks.

The M1000 pump gas kit is still under development, however some people have fit there existing 3071 based kits with a low pressure actuator and made appropriate calibration adjustments have experienced some level of success. I would recommend being patient, the 800s are more or less we want them the 1000s won't be far behind.
