This sled also has the stage IV SLP power kit. Here I am at Horse Creek near pinedale.
Just wanted to throw this vid out here for the sound effects of my pipe set up.

Love that sound! Running the same pipe and can on my '10 D8. Sounds awsome. Glad I went that route. Read a few negative reports about performance dropping when getting good and hot, like multiple pulls on hills, but never had an issue with mine.

I weigh 300 pounds and am pretty relentless on my poor old sled.

It hasn't missed a beat and there was no performance drop upon removal of the slp can.

There is 2 of us down here running this set up.
Myself and one stock motor sled running the slp single and hps can.

I actually built a total straight pipe and it didn't affect the sled at all... I'll post a pix of it later.

Sounds good!

Forgive my ignorance, but what was the reason for replacing the SLP can? Did you have a performance issue with that set-up?

Also, did you notice much improvement with the head? Or did you install the pipe, pcv, and head all at the same time? I'm debating on a head for mine; only thing I don't have.

I tried to get a head from RKT but he said he wasn't selling them anymore for the 800 CFI due to all the problems they have.

I thought the slp can was too quite and I love how the hps can sounds. So that explains that.

I bought the sled with the stage iv kit installed already. The stage iv kit actually doesn't use a Power Commander, just a custom SLP ECU.

My sled is only a tad ahead of the other D8's running an SLP single with dynotech's 162HP map.

I heard Carls has a head mod that's like 100$, but it's only that cheap If you buy their performance kit. That's the route I'd go, or just not even mess With the head anyway.
