2009 RMK 800 EGT

Just looking for a little help for a buddy of mine. His 2009 RMK 800 did the five flash code for bad EGT. The Polaris part is $109. Is there an automotive equivilent that is much cheaper? I know on my M8 I can use the 2011 Chevy Duramax temp sensor and it is $35 as opposed to $140 for the identical part from Cat. Any help would be appreciated.

Don't know any replacement that you can substitute. I have read that some just solder a resistor in line and disable it. I had mine go out and if it goes out again I think I will do this.
