2009 RMK 800 163 Dragon went down

I've been lurking on SnoWest for a while reading about the 800's going down and feeling purity lucky that mine was still running. I don't even have over 1000 miles on my sled yet and it stopped over the weekend. Normally it only takes (2) pulls and sometime (3) but this time it was more and when it did start running the instrument panel was blank for 20 sec. or more before it would came on. This happened a few times through out the morning. On the last trip I was out about a mile when the sled stalled and just wouldn't start. I would sound like it wanted to but never did. It just pisses me off and I now know your pain

Was it your Voltage Regulator?

Not sure yet. Damn thing went out once already "before" the sled even hit the snow.

I had same problem with my instrument cluster the other day. Ended up being the plug-in for my heated visor dangeling and occasionally touching the tunnel. Must of rode w/it hanging a million times and never done that but did that day. Now I keep end tucked into foam in riser pad.
