2009 M8 skid

My guess is you hit something. Never herd of a skid bending from normal use.

If Cat does warranty that, I've got some A-arms and a bent skid that I need warrantied!:p

How did you bend it? What way is it bent? It takes alot of force to bend a skid these days.

2009 bent rails m8

its bent to the clutch side both rails. i was jumping it in the mountains!!! me and a buddy. he had a 162 and his never bent. mine did. i raced snox for 6 years pro class so its not like i dont how to jump..

Any thing that happens on impact is not a warranty issue, only faulty parts. I've seen the older ones bend when jumped and land a little sideways or tilted to one side and unless the get a certain number of bent skids coming back they wont warranty and it would probably be a recall rather than a warranty, I don't think there will be two many people wanting to give up there light weight skid. But it depends more on your dealer these days than anything. You might want to change it out with an 07-08 rails not sure if there stronger or not. AC will just tell you they are called m-series (Mountain) not BA-series(Big Air).

Too many warranty abusers out there. Bent rails are like bent a-arms. Not a defect from the factory. Just like stated above. We all want lighter parts, but need to understand that lighter is just that.....lighter. ;)

Probobly not going to be warranty. Ditch you bent rails and get some Ice Age rails. $270/set. They use stock axel and 8", 9" or 10" wheels, which ever you choose when ordering. I'm sure thats cheaper than AC OEM parts. Just an idea.

Bent Rails

Im guessing you should probaly not have been hitting that kicker on boulder wicked with nitrous wide open and getting 25 feet of hang time. haha. Show them the picture of the air you were getting im sure they would reconsider. hahaha. Maybe you need to ditch that dealer and go somewhere else. Or go buy a new 600 snopro race sled and put a long track kit and turbo on it. haha

i'll gladly give up some lightweight parts for more durable ones!!! haha

I mean really, what's 8 pounds?? go hop on the exercise bike for an hour and take a healthy $hit and there ya go.....LOL jk but yeah

The new rails are lighter and stronger than the 08 rails, you wouldn't gain anything by going to 08 rails. Warranty is only meant to cover manufacturer defects and problems, not problems caused by the way you use it.
