The 09' M8s run good, but the XP will still edge out in performance. With that said I would go M8 because I'm not a fan of fragile sleds.

If I were buying one it'd be the M8. From what I saw when I rode out west this year, the M8 is tough to beat.

I would take the M8, my opinion based on how many chassis parts my buddy has had (or needs) to replace on his 09 xp..... that thing is frickin fragile...... And the clutch setup is junk.........

90% of a sleds capability is rider skill. The marginal difference between Doo, Poo, and Cat does not equate to a significant advantage. Buy the sled that is the most reliable and will not strand you in the back country. IMO Cat's are the best in that department and get my vote every time. Plus Cat's are amazing when you decide to put them on a diet and add a few little mods.
