2009 m8 dies after getting ran for a while???

So this weekend at mt st hellens my 2009 m8 died after I had been riding it for like a half hour or so. I looked at it the second time and the tachometer went to zero. It acted like I had hit the kill switch. (But I didn't) it did this 3 times in a day. I started to figure out that right before it dies it has like no bottom end. Has this happened to anyone else?? I need to figure out what this is!!!! It's making me so frustrated!

List some info,
miles, mods (all mods) any work done. did it die going down the trail, in the trees. Give us some history

It only has like 1600 miles on it, never done it before, the only mod is a can. It does it when it gets all the way to temp. If it starts to lose power at the bottom end and I shut it off for a couple minutes I can keep riding it. It pitched me over the bars at one point.
