2009 M8 - Diamond Drive Fluid Oz??

Question for the experts...

I've called 10 dealers around the US and all but 2 of them said that the 2009 M8 Diamond Drive should be filled with 12 fl oz Arctic Cat Synthetic ACT Drive
Fluid. One said 15oz and one said 3oz. From my research it seems that it should be 15oz as Mike from BDX stated in a previous post...

Not trying to change the topic but an FYI on the oil:

04-06 Diamond Drive 3oz
BDX Diamond Lite Drive 4oz
07-08 Diamond Drive w/Reverse 12oz
09 Diamond Drive (engine reverse) 15oz

The shop manual I have states the following:

ASSEMBLING GEAR CASE (w/Reverse)
18. Pour 12 fl oz of Arctic Cat Synthetic ACT Drive
Fluid into the drain/fill hole; then install the plug.
Tighten to 12 ft-lb.

ASSEMBLING GEAR CASE (w/o Reverse)
13. Pour 15 fl oz of Arctic Cat Synthetic ACT Gear
Case Fluid into the drain/fill hole; then install the
plug. Tighten securely.

I assume 15oz because the 09 has engine reverse (electronic reverse) rather than mechanical reverse. I believe 'w/Reverse' is referencing mechanical reverse models.

Could someone please confirm the correct fl oz for a 2009 M8?

Thanks!

I run 15 oz. in mine. It's the same case as the 07 and 08 it just doesn't have the mechanical reverse gear. Less metal in the case = more fluid in the case.

YES 15 oz, pour in a 12 and 3 oz bottle, not sure if they ever came out with a 15 oz bottle

I would have figured that they went back to the old style of gear cases. Glad I read this! Someone once told me what happens when you pour the 3oz bottle in the '07 case  WOT through pow and the sled instantly quit forward progress resulting in a neat looking freestyle stunt called the Kiss of death without even leaving the ground!
