I have a 2009 M1000 with a bad stator (I think). Started running bad and would periodically shut down. Would start right back up and run for about a mile then quit. Towed it to the truck and let it idle while towing and it idled for about 1/2 hour. When I wrapped it up it threw a code 12. Got it home and won't start now. Checked and no spark on any of the 4 plugs.
I have a good stator from an 07 M1000. Checked the cross reference and the 07 has been replaced with a 3007-711, which is the stator for 2009. Thought it should interchange, but my buddy says the 07 would not work in his 08. Does anyone know if they will interchange. I haven't pulled the stator from the 09 to check all the plugs, but the ones I can see look the same.
Any one know for sure, I would appreciate it.
