Ok so my mechanic has spent a buttload of time trying to figure out an electrical (he thinks) issue with my 2009 M1000.
Basically its not revving out to full 7800 rpm. Sometimes it will sometimes it wont. When it does it only will for 5-10 seconds then it seems to bog out and lose power. You can drop off the throttle and feather it back up but it wont last.
They have basically rebuilt the top end, replaced fuel pump, and done some other work and the Gold Certified AC tech still cant figure it out.
They are thinking the stator as it has been replaced twice already but if they replace it again there must be a reason why the stators keep dying so possibly a wiring issue or corroded wire that shorts out and damages the stator.
It was doing a similar thing (bogging/not revving out) 2 years ago. The stator was replaced with a cheap one which died completely after 2 rides. It was then replaced with a rebuilt OEM stator.
Has anyone else had or seen an issue like this? I am not sure how to proceed I dont want to throw anymore money at this issue if we are still not sure it will completely fix the problem.
HELP!!
