2009 M1000 Clanks when putting in reverse...Normal?

When putting the sled in reverse and throttling to engage the clutch M1000 2009 model makes a metallic and pronounced "Clank".

It will not clank until you give it gas to engage the clutch. It seems to make this clank mostly in reverse just prior to the clutch engaging....Once in a while it will do it when engaging foward.

Sled is a new leftover. Has 100 miles on it. Short of the "Clank" it runs like a raped ape.

Is this clank normal or???

Thanks!!!

The clunk you hearing is the helix locking in the reverse side of the heilx. when it locks in it keeps your shives on the driven clutch from coming open.
Its the rollers hitting the lock area, take a look at your helix and you will see what im talking about. No problem. RickM
