2009 HCR clutch is toast

2 rollers gone 1600 miles, Can't get one from anywhere in sask. Arcticcat is backordered. So I put on a new M7 clutch, looks the same except the inner sheave is thinner, put 80 miles on it this weekend worked fine. Question, Will it survive and or where can I buy new rollers? New clutch is $600.00 plus.
 
2009 HCR Clutch

guys are buying the spider from an M7 and installing in their later year clutch's. You have to look up the parts from 05 and 06 years. You can also buy a new clutch which is un claibrated ( no weights ) for way less money than 600.00 , check with freeagent on snowest. she is in oregon.

Can you just replace the rollers? Or did it chew up more parts than just the rollers?
You can get rock rollers form bdx. Pain in the *** to change, but the piece of mind you get afterwards is worth it.
 
So the M7 And M8 primarys are interchangeable? And im guessing that you can rebuild the M7 clutch but not the M8?

The trick is that all M6 and M7 and M8 use same clutch with miner changes in the shims they all have different part #. WE have a bunch in stock good prices.



The new 2010 M8 clutch is the only one that is different and the do not interchange so do not try it.

Blow the belt dust out of your clutches with compressed air after every couple rides, your clutches will last a lot longer. Also, check where your weights and rollers contact eachother for rust, youd be surprised how fast it can form right there. Rust will cause the rollers to stick and wear flat spots.

A really easy way to clean a primary is to remove the clutch and put it in the dishwasher when your wife/girlfriend is not home.
 
I hook up a water hose where the washer hooks to hot amd use a degreaser and spray it down then flush with hot water, my h/w is 190 degrees and with the good w/p we have here its like a steam cleaner
