2009 700 RMK Pipe/Can?

Hey guys,

Father in Law just picked up a 700 RMK this past weekend, brand new 09 for under $8,000.00 so we figured it was a good buy! He's wanting to put a pipe and can on the sled, had good luck with SLP on my doo's and cat's but haven't been around the poo's much. Would like to have something that doesn't require ecu mods or anything like that. Thanks in advance!

Just put a can on it if you want to save some weight or for the sound. My dealer told me the SLP pipe doesn't really make HP at altitude.
I did the SLP can and spent the other money on
re gearing it to 19/42
Better Boards
shock knee and dash vents
Vortech rack and Snowbunjie Trunk Bag

Pipe on a d7

I have a 2007 D7, stock pipe, pc 3

You'll get more out of installing a PC-5 with the stock pipe, only $365.00

DYNOTECH JIM has the correct mapping for the D7's with and without SLP pipe

Well, unlike some I've seen pretty noticeable improvement from the SLP pipe.

Either buy the performance edition pipe or call Carl's Cycle and have them send you the spacer for the standard SLP pipe. If you do one of those 2 things you'll see noticeable performance increase with the pipe over stock.

I'd recommend the helix from Carl's too.

Sled Guy,

No pi$$in' match here,

I agree with you that the installation of the pipe will show significant bolt-on gains in performance.

My point is that the MAJORITY of the gain experienced from a pipe install is because the pipe is leaning out an already existing RICH mixture.

Once the fuel is properly dialed in for each individual set-up, any gains to be had from an aftermarket pipe are minimal, that's all.

You'll get a bigger gain from the PC-5 for less money than the pipe alone.

If money is no object, get 'em both.

'Nuff said.

most people dont take into consideration that what there feeling isnt the pipe

alot of people on here are running a stock sled then they throw on a pipe and clutch kit and there thinking the pipe made a huge improvement well how much of that is the clutch since stock clutching sucks so what are you feeling to pipe or clutching also how rich are our sled running from the factory yeah there rich just barely people put a pipe on and there having to lean the sled out after they put a slp pipe on. the more hp you make the more fuel you have to burn, so with our sleds being slightly rich from the factory the pipe should make it damn close to being a perfect a/f mixture or at least make a better a/f ratio

so feel free to correct me if iam wrong iam not trying to start an argument just what i think about it

so to say this pipe makes power well iam skeptical for maybe the 3hp i might of gained on my d7 deffintily not worth it to me

Thanks for all the input guys, helps a ton. My father in law doesn't live to far away from carls cycle so I might send him that direction and see if that doesn't work out. We are both pumped to get the sled out, I've always liked poo's and he ran them back in the late 90's. What a change he's in for! :)

Thanks again.
