How far is this good riding from ellensburg. I just moved to washington from Idaho so I'm pretty unaware of the area.

whats the best (or one of the better) places to ride in nw wash. snowboarded baker my whole life but never sledded there. is the loading area a far drive from glacier? i've always wanted to try sledding there but don't know if the border hassle is worth it. riding comparable to the whistler area? thanks for the help guys.

Baker is a good place to ride, and is pretty big too. The riding at baker is done mostly on the south side. The turn off is at Concrete.

I haven't been to Whistler, but I here it is like a lot of Bakers put together....

3 Jan first ride

Rode Baker today for a first ride of the season..Not to shabby. Could use more snow and less rain. Road was real rough til you start up the creek. The fresh snow up higher made the ride worth it though. The resort on the north side reported 30" of new snow in last 3 days. Was about that much above hood hill. Parking is still at the last switchback.
