2009-10 M Clutch alignment

Ok, so I've done a search, and this is what Ive come up with so far...

I have a 2009 M1000 and have an alignment bar for it, a 1.655'' now the problem is, my secondary blew up and was replaced with an updated 2010 clutch, and 2010 is supposed to use a 1.507 bar.

Now I've read lots that the 09 and earlier should be using the 1.507 anyways, so what is the final work on the 1.655 vs 1.507 issue anyways, and why did the 2010's switch alignment specs in the first place?

if you have a 2010 clutch it is machined differently and will slide further onto the gearcase. I believe you would then want to align it with the 1.507 bar. I asked the same question many are asking if 1.507 is right now 1.655 must have been less than ideal.

The clutch was aligned well for the 1.655'' bar, so I took out the shims and they measured .15'' should put me right on for 1.507. Will take the shims with me next time out just incase it heats the clutches up worse.

Cat just made a mistake on the earlier models LOL. Many have been running the offset closer to the '10 specs for years, just watch that theclutch hub doesn't hit.
