I'm not sure what people are looking for so I will offer it both ways since I have the sled stripped down right now. I can put it back together with the turbo ready to rock or I can put it back together as a stocker with a head and a can you tell me. I'm trying to figure out which is the best way to sell this and build a new project. It would be a while to assemble I just want to give people the opportunity if they want a turbo kit or a ready to ride turbo sled.
The kit started out as a CPI kit and then progressed from there. The CPI site has some details and I also have a thread in the doo turbo section of my build when I did it. The CPI is a bare bones kit and needs more stuff to make it complete, all of which I have done. I never got an oil pump with my kit so I added the same one that turboboyz and cpc use. The kit also does not come with a blow off valve so I added a turbonetics raptor. I have a brand new set of boyesen turbo reed petals on the stock cages to go in it. I had put in a set of boyesen turbo reeds on their rage cage but they have failed and I sent them back, apparently a design flaw. I have also modified the intake plumbing to run a cold air intake like most of the 4-stroke turbos out there, the big can full of holes with a prefilter. How many XP kits have a cold air intake? I have also added an engine-tech coolant housing to keep the water temp down to optimum levels and it works. I know because I have an AEM water temp gauge and an AEM air/fuel gauge. I had the head cut for the turbo to make it reliable. Any questions about the turbo kit just ask. I have over $5k into the kit fyi.
The sled is a 163X package. There is about 2200km on the sled. It was stripped this past fall and the shocks were rebuilt and everything gone through. It also had a brand new shortblock installed under warranty, the oil pump cable broke last spring and it seized. There is about 500km on it this year with the turbo, everything looks great inside. Also new this year is a mountainmod seat with trunk. And because it was a wheelie monster with the turbo I put on a set of smittys drop brackets and also a set of rear scissor relocate brackets, much improved.
I could type forever spelling out all of the details but if there isn't any interest I don't want to waste my time. This thing is a blast to ride, when the stocker stops pulling this thing rips your arms off. I have a few helmet cam vids in my sig, nothing special as the camera makes everything look flat but you can see how it runs.
