2008 RMK 700 shock questions

Hi all! First time posting, just bought a 2008 RMK 700 and the stock Ryde shocks are shot. I've read that these are non rebuild-able, so I'm looking to upgrade and have a few questions.
1. Will the Pro RMK shocks fit onto the sled?
2. Are there any "budget" aftermarket shocks that are worth buying?
3. I've heard the Walker Evan "Airshocks" that are on the Dragons are junk. Is this true or will they work to get me through the season until I save up more $ for better shocks?
4. A good friend of mine told me to just ride it with the stock shocks until I can save up and get a set of Fox's or W/E needles. How will this effect the handling and will it ruin anything if I run it like that?

The sled has the Zbroz front control arm upgrade and no swaybar if that helps at all. Thanks!

I have an 08 D7, and a friend has an 08 RMK 700 - basically the same sled except for the shocks. I've ridden both and I love the Walker Evans shocks. They are a bit softer than the Ryde's but if you check the nitrogen charge and keep them at the max they are great in the deep stuff. Super easy to lay over in the turns and I've never bottomed them out. (I'm 6'1" and about 205# with riding gear).

Raptors the way to go they have a non adjustable set thats not to spendy with the multi rate springs .....they are great !!!

Thanks for the advice on shocks! I've looked at the zbroz to match up with the A arms I have, but man they are just so expensive!!! Would it really hurt the sled to run it for a season with dead shocks? That way I'm only spending the money for them once.

I've got an 08 RMK 700 with stock shocks on it. They are probably shot, but I couldn't tell or at least I didn't care. Might be because last year was my first full riding season, or because I weigh in at about 165 (with gear).

I say run it the way it is until you get enough money to buy a Pro.

My 09 700 RMK ski shocks were 17.5". I think all the IQs and 2011, 2012 Pros all had 17.5" shocks. If you're looking for a good upgrade, check Fox Float 2s or the new Float 3s (if there out yet). Carls' Cycle also has a skid shock set-up with a Zero Pro front and a Float 2 in the rear - at least they use too.
