2008 Polaris 600 Rmk H.0....Mods?

Hey, I'm Jack! I have a 2008 600 RMK. I'm going to college and therefore, I can't afford a sled with more horsepower yet. I have enough money for a few mods, and a friend works at Polaris, so I get good deals. What would be a good idea to add 10 or even 15 horsepower to my 600 RMK? I was thinking an SLP pipe and silencer will reduce a little weight and add roughly 10 horsepower. What else could I do? I'm 5'11" and weigh between 150 and 155lbs. I really love this sled, but a little more power would help a ton out in the Snowies. THANKS, Jack!

Order A Power Commander V and Auto Tune..

New Fuel filter..

Tape up air Box.

Ride it like you Stole IT!!

thanks matt

carles cylce 660cc kit. you will be very happy with the performance. keep up to or beat 800's and yet very reliable.

The wife is riding an 07 RMK 600.Our dealer told us the SLP pipe/can didn't really make HP at 9000+ where we ride.
We put the SLP can on to save a couple pounds and a milled head for more compression. Also put a 42 tooth bottom gear on it for more snap( save some $$ and buy the Team bottom gear instead of the Poo one/Team make it for Poo).
Get more fresh air flowing around the clutches with Carl's Cycle shock tower and knee vent's.An SLP triangular dash vent or others will also get more air to your carbs.
Better Boards and Ice Scratcher's.
The boards and scratcher's won't make any HP but will make your sled more enjoyable and run cooler.

On a budget... I would focus on making the sled HANDLE better and get on top of the snow. You will feel like you have more hp.

Outside of a VERY expensive Big bore Kit or turbo... you are not going to add 10-15 MORE hp to a 600cc engine.

Save your money... use it to ride more... Wrench less and improve your skill set... that will give you the best improvement... IMO

Thanks Guys! I guess a guy like my size doesn't need tremendous horsepower to do the things I like to do, like boondock through trees. I guess I might just spend the money on a 2009 updated front end kit. Thanks for all the input! I think I heard what I wanted to hear.

As I get older that sounds like the best plan! Some of the other stuff is just a waste of money ultimately!! Well said MH.
