2008 M8 track tension

how loose can i run my track? i have the two wheel kit on it and i was just wondering it seems tighter then all the other M8's and 1000's that i have seen just puttin this out there to see what my options are thanks aaron

Using a spring scale or i guess a 10 pound weight either or put it at midpoint on your track you should have 2-2 1/2 inches 10 pounds for m series 20 for all others.

it has extrovert drivers so you can run it pretty loose. I have a 3" sag in mine when it is in the air. To tight will not be as good .

Ya i was running my track with less tension probably over 3" but when i put 2 wheel kit in i had to tighten it up a bit its set at 2.5 inches now, A/C manual says 2.5 with 10 pounds weight go from there, just use your hands and estimate if you cant figure out weight thing its in the manual if you got one.

If you run the track to loose you may damage your extrovert drivers.
I ran my track to loose once and it made the end of the extros wear bad.
I would run the track per dealer spec. Thats how I have mine set and I can turn the track while its in the air with one hand. Not going to gain a lot of power to the ground by making it any looser, you will just tear stuff up.

I've always had my M7 with at least 3" of sag in the middle while suspended, and have never had any wear issues. I've pretty much always run my tracks as loose as I can. As long as it doesn't ratchet, it's still ok IMO.
