2008 M8 Race Gas Twisted Turbo….$11,900
Its easy to find a cheaper turbo sled, but this one looks very very good and runs very well too.
2008 M8, 1200 miles before this year, up to 1600 miles today
Twisted Race Gas Turbo, added this season, runs better then I ever imagined
Usually ran 10-12lbs, sometimes I had it up to 16lbs with no issues
Army Green and Flat Black Custom Powder Coating
VE rear half tunnel, board edges, cooler, hammer rivets
Betterboards----installed the correct way and are bomb proof
New primary clutch this year
New bushing on every moveable part of the rear and front suspension
New Engine mount on the primary side
New sliders, wheels and other things I cant think of right now
USI Triple threat skis
OVS rear coupler, allows some tunable setting to keep the front end down under big boost and a big climb
New DD planatary gearset
2009 CAT/BOSS seat
Camo Extreme 162 track (new track about 800 miles ago, still looks new)
2009 front end light weight bushing kit from CAT
Temp switch bypass
Pipe temp sensor bypassed
Reverse switch removed
The hood is painted with professional paint and has held up very well to tree branches
New center belly pan (put on this week)
Many many hours of blood sweat and tears
This sled has always ran on 112 sunoco fuel and redline synthetic oil….its amazing what good fuel and good oil does to an engine.
Issues:
-she ran strong for 400 miles then blew two belts quick, found a ½” hole under the primary and patched it up with some ABS plastic, and an engine mount that moved ¼”…typical stuff that happens when you strip a sled down and reassemble...all the assembley bugs are worked out
-On one of the square pin connectors for the ECU, I broke the snapping part of one while messing with it when it was cold, it has sip ties to hold it in place and is doing fine.
-The kill switch suffered some damage last year….but it still works, just looks a bit ugly
