2008 m8 Good or Bad?

I have a 2004 RMK 800 and am thinking of switching to either an M8 or Skidoo. I have ridden a 2007 Skidoo 800 and a 2009 M8. The Skidoo felt good but the M8 felt like it had stiff suspension. I have a chance to buy a 2008 M8, what is everybodies thoughts on that sled. I like the power of my Polaris just want something that handles better and is more manueverable. Definitely will do mods to it, stock just doesn't cut it.

Good sled, no real problems. the 07 Ski Doo is a time bomb. Search some posts about the 07 Rev's. Probably one of the top 3 worst sleds ever made.

We have one and that sled flat out rips. Best overall sled i have rode. It climbs, carves, sidehills, and jumps great. It is also very easy to throw around. What track is the one you can buy and is it sno-pro?

i just switched from a modded 03 poo 700 with a 156 to an 09 m8 snopro limited 153. The difference is so dramatic i cant explain it. The cat will do everything better that my old Poo and everythings more enjoyable riding the cat. Ive ridden the xp many times. Was not for me. Like the new Poo IQ's but im glad i went with the cat

They are a great sled,if you like to mod you are really going to enjoy it. All m's ride a little rough on a bumpy trail get them in the pow and they are awesome, and i haven't had to change to the powerclaw yet mine has worked fine in all situations but here anyways they are replacing the tracks on the 1000 for free not the 8 though, that is if you are buying new. Mine takes my old 05 rmk 900 and is way more fun to ride, my buddy owns it and we ride together all the time.

Only drawback is going to be that mechanical reverse, that system sucks. Other than that, you will be plesantly inpressed.

Not sure what track is in it other than the specs. I didn't realize that it had mechanical reverse. I am sure that adds weight. My 2004 has electronic reverse and it has worked great. The 2008 isn't a snopro, but does have fox floats on the front end. I have always had Polaris so I am learning what is new with the other manufacturers. The M8's seem to be a good sled. Is the durability there with them?

got an 08 m8 162 this year out of the crate thats the way to buy them love the sled most fun sled ever rode(ex a turbo apex) no problems at all.

The sled is solid, bulletproof.

I'm running an 05 m7 that had a bigbore on it from the start and now has a turbo on the big bore. Over 4000 miles and no problems.
