2008 M8 cutting out/missing at 6500 rpms?

I have a 2008 M8 with the SLP pipe setup. This weekend it was running great, but on the trip back to the truck, It would do what I would describe as a miss or run choppy at above 6500 rpms. Below that rpm I could cruise no problem. What would cause this? I have run this setup at this altitude (1000-1600ft.) problem free for almost 1500 miles. Thanks for your help.

maybe a fuel filter, mine does that a low rpm and Im getting real tired of jacking off the throttle just to get it to take off smooth
