Have a 2008 M1000 with a MBRP Can and a BDX Black Boxx intake I ride at 1500-3000ft at home and in Mountains (4000-8000 ft) as well

I want to know if I can add the Y-Pipe to the sled without a fuel control Box and still be reliable

Thanks

You could probably get away with it, but you are also cheating danger...its a safe bet to have one at least just in case you do develope a bog or something and burn up the motor

Cutting it to close

Your going to spend alot more if and when you squeak the motor-
Spend the $$$ and get a fuel box, cause you will end up pretty close to the edge- and depending on your fuel PSI gauge 1-2 psi will kill you

If I am going to have to run a box just for the Y pipe then I should just go with the whole SLP set up and get the HP out of having to run the box correct or with just the Y pipe can you set it onece for all elevations???

Sidehill is right, I would have thought a touch lower on the psi though, we're running 46 & plugs are fat & wash is good.

Just check your psi, if you're low then get a fuel reg, cheaper than a box & none of the bs that you have to deal with on the box.
