2008 kx450 thrmobob install q

Installing a thermo-bob in my 2008 kx450
cut the head hose for install and hose is way bigger diameter than thermo-bob?
Hose seems to be 7/8" I/D and thermo-bob 3/4" O/D. will clamping that much excess hose leak. Wrong bob or hose?

I wouldnt hope the clamp would seal. Call him again and get the correct one

Talked to Watt-Man, said thermo-bob was a little smaller than hose. So i will clamp it, and hope she holds.
