I just bought a different pickup and I am wanting to put 20 inch rims and tires on it but already have issues with the front tires rubbing. I am wondering if I can put a leveling kit on it or if I will have to go to a lift. I don't know the size tire I will be putting on. Nothing huge, just a nice size. Thanks for any help.

i had to level mine and then cut a pie shape out of the inner plastic fender well and suck it back on the bottom to get the clearance I needed. I then had all kinds of room. I think the tires were like 34 inch. then get ready to attack the rear because any weight in the rear the truck rides uphill. had to put air bags in mine. all said and done it worked good but a real pain is the arse

I would recommend the cognito a arm kit. You can then run a 33 inch tire. If you just crank the torsions you ruin the geometry of the suspension, decrease shock travel and wear tires. It's pricy but IMHO it's the only way to do it right.

Brent is correct. For a leveling kit, cognito is the ONLY way to go. The other leveling kits that just sell you the new torsion keys only cause a rough ride. What happens is your upper a-arm travel will be reduced or they will completely rest on the factory suspension stop which will stop them from moving downward resulting in a terrible ride. Also make sure to get new shocks for the front the factory ones will be too short even with a mild level. The cognito leveling kit includes new upper a-arms that are reshaped to fix this and also fix your the ball joint angle when you crank on the keys. Cognito might not be the cheapest stuff out there but it is very good quality.

I had to trim my inter fenders for my 33" but I have a + offset rim which is the main problem. Look up Norcal nick on the duramax forums and he has write ups on what and how to trim, also he is the guy to talk to about cognito products. I am saving up for the cognito Stage 3 kit for my 07.5, would go stage 4 but already have the Rare Parts HD tie rods.
