Nice, but I wish they would address the 08's. Do a recall on the driveshafts, and replace the guages.
I agree, they have more or less admitted that they have issues, fix (Recall) the 08 first.
I wonder if he has my $250 cheque in back pocket
... Still waiting.I'm not too woried about it, as I've had my driveshaft welded, but it would bring a piece of mind to allot of people. The guages don't effect the performance, but it would be nice to have it not reset everytime you stop.

Actually, Its not. If you dig the options on the X package, better hurry.
However, after getting one X package, I have found that waiting until the floor model shows up and applying good "customizing" & set-up that you can out run the comparable "X" models each and every time, PLUS save you about $1000. Bottom line is, they are addressing the issues with the 09 sled's and warrantying the 08's, and if you have a 08 or ordering an 09, you can't go wrong.
Forget the "pound for pound" performance claim, the XP's are about the strongest sleds out there, surpassing all but the top-most pumped up 4 - strokes.

I'm curious, has anyone gone in and talked to their dealers about 08 trade ins ? What sort of dollars do they want on top of your 08 for a 09 ? Anyone ?
My dealer told me today they will not be taking trade ins due to the reliability issues of the 08's. They say they will be too hard to get rid of. Talk about confidence in ones product. But then again they have to be one of the worst dealers in Alberta.
Another dealer told us 3000-3500 bucks on top for an 09. Anyone else with figures ?

My friend snowchecked a 09 a few days ago. The stealer would only give him 6500CDN for his 07. LOL He's on his 4th motor (1 every 800miles) and the clutching is still screwed judging by how many belts he blew at Renshaw last weekend.
Its crazy as to how many problems he had and how crappy he was treated by doo and he still comes back cause we "hope" the XP is dialed in for 09. Awesome sled in 08 and goin to be better in 09

Trading my 08 154X with 1500 miles and the dealer wants $2,600.00 US difference out the door for a new 09 154 X. Includes new skid plate and upgraded gauges

Just got off the phone around 5:00 with the dealer, said he'd take my trade and $1900, going from a 08' 146" X 800R approx. 700 miles, to a 09' 154" X 800R.
This dealer has been the Top BRP PAC Dealer for 08' & 09".

i wonder who brp is trying to convince with their little speel on durability issues, or are they just hoping the 09 isnt a pile of s$it like my 08 was. Ill believe it when i see it that they fixed all the issues.

dealers in western wa giving 8000.00 to 8800.00.on x 163 . 3 that i know of. 2 in eastern wa. sorry if some of your dealers wont take trades. graveler must have told them not to!
