2008 Dragon Tunnel Coolant Hole

I recently just purchased this sled and was drilling through the tunnel to mount a rack system. Anyways, I drilled through the tunnel with a 1/4 inch bit and now have a hole and leaking coolant. What is the best way to fix this hole? I was thinking just a simple aluminum patch kit and then refiling the coolant.

Weld it.

In a pinch you could use JB weld and a couple quarters. But I wouldn't use it for anything but getting the sled out of a bad spot!

With that size of whole i feel the only option is to take it in and get it professionally welded by some one who is completely certified. I have heard of guys tossing a stud through a cooler and fixing it with a short self taping screw+JB weld but your going to have to get that welded.

Just so you know, there are long mounting tracks on either side of the tunnel so you never have to drill. If your holes don't match up, just run a plate across from side to side.

in a pinch you could use a bolt,nut,washers and a couple of good rubber o rings i but i would really look into aluminum spool gun or tig weld.

Not sure where you live but if your in southeast idaho or close to salt lake city ut or that area i will weld for you no problem.. Iam cerified and have a tig set.

all i was getting at was to pay attention and look things over before you start drilling holes in things if that was done there would be no issue harry.
