**2008 Dragon 800 electrical problems**

I was rideing through some super deep powder when this thing started bogging, wouldnt go over a quarter throttle.. So i got off and started checking stuff out, my dash had no display and my head lights barely had a tiny glow on high beam, my voltage regulator smelt like heck and was to hot to touch.. I pulled out my spare voltage regulator put it on and tryed it.........same thing hooked two pros to it and got it back on the trail, by this time my second voltage regulator was fried...... Whats wrong with this thing??????? ECU or Stator or what???? Seems like its not getting enough power...........

Reg usually doesn't smell. It's the ECU. Reg dies and burns up the ecu. Lift the ECU and look at the back of it. It will probably have a big bubble where it burned up maybe even black gu on the belt guard. Pretty common. You need to replace both the reg and the ecu. Big discussion in the IQ section.

Just joined this club yesterday. Gu on the belt gaurd. Smells like burnt dielectric. I dont want to join anymore of your guys clubs.
