I have own this sled since new with absolutely no issues and I wondering if anyone has have any issues with the voltage regulator on the 600s. Is it something that I should be changing before it is an issue or not worry about it.

They burn out just the same, I had a 2010 600 that burned out after one season.

While there is no guarantee that it won't go out next ride I'd say if it has been good since 2008 I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's just electronic components inside so like anything electronic if it makes it past warranty it's probably good for a long time.

My dealer told me that they run hot with the little black box mounted to the top of them (my '10 600 anyway) so I inverted the black box thing and bolted it up through the plastic belt holder and opened up the foam/aluminum under the VR. No problems since.

Honestly until I see some flickering on my gauge, I wouldn't worry. I did add a fan on top of mine to give me that warm and fuzzy feeling that the VR won't overheat.
