2008 800XP clutch alignment

I bought my sled at the end of last spring and, I want to confirm good alignment on my clutching after hearing all the stories about blowing belts.

Is there a procedure out there that I should be following?

thks

The tool is 2ft of 1/4'' square stock. Pinch it between the secondary sheeves. Don't go by the manual, measure a known good REV (not REVXP) after all they come out with the same belt. Measure the alignment with a digital caliper with the outside primary sheeve off to make it easier. The LH rear engine mount will have to be removed to slot it. Be patient when removing mount, primary and torque stop must be removed and use pry bars gently to massage engine up and foreward. All others are slotted or oversized. I've done 3 so far and it takes me 2hrs. The 08 manual says 37.??mm I found a REV that runs 40.??mm and have had no belt problems.

Some one on here was selling a shim kit for the secondary with instructions. If it works I would think it's better than slotting the motor mount because it can move once it's slotted. Plus or minues from moving motor vs secondary????
