2008 600 Shift RMK Pipe Help???

My daughter took out the pipe on my '08 600 carbed Shift RMK. I got a pipe from a friend from a 2009 600 RMK injected. My question that can't be answered by anyone at Polaris "due to liability reasons". Should this pipe affect it at all? I can see going the other way, carbed pipe on injected, making a difference but I wouldn't think it would with what I'm doing. They are the same physically, I have to plug the O2 sensor bung. I don't know if the internals would be that much different.

Any thoughts?

If the pipe fits, try it. Keep an eye on the plugs to see if the 09 pipe causes rich/lean conditions. You will feel any adverse effects to clutch weights and all. Might just work out. Again, the spark plugs will tell you lots. Good luck. 550iq

Ask SLP tec support ? I was wondering myself if an aftermarket setup could be switched the same way ? I will probaly call them in the a.m.

I talked to them at Hay Days and he wasn't to sure. It was a salesman though and he might have been pushing me towards a pipe.

I will call their tech support and see what they think.

I spoke with SLP. Such great people! Bad news for me. He said the flow characteristics are different. It would be boggy with flat spots if I run it.

I guess I'm looking for a stock pipe or an SLP take off???
