2007 summit Can't get RPMs

I have a 2007 summit 800 144. It won't build over 7400 even on highest clicker. Checked clutches new rollers ramps are ok secondary looks ok.
Tried heavier primary spring Purple/pink not much change. Dealer told me to check exaust valves they are opening correctly. not sure if I'm haveing a clutch problem or a HP problem. Engine acts kinda fluttery at full throttle.
Idles smooth and revs up fine pulls pretty hard at first but just won't wake up.
Y pipe bolts are tight. Was new crate motor last year maybe 500 miles on it.
If anyone has any ideas or things to check let me know thanks.

The vacuum hoses for the RAVE valves have one-way check valves. After putting in the new motor one may have been installed backwards or isn't functioning properly. They are blue and have arrows showing the flow. Check the flow versus the chart (I have a pic somewhere but not on this computer, sorry). Anyway, that was exactly the same issue I had after a rebuild - dealer put one of the check valves in backwards! 90% of the time I hear rpm issues with the '07 it is RAVE valve related.

Have FUN!

I have the exact same problem with my wife's 07 800r summit x 144. I used to think it was clutching, but I fired it up a month ago and it barely runs. Try to put it in reverse and dies everytime. Ran it full throttle and 7200 is all it has. Every year the sled just runs worse than the year before.

I snowchecked it for my wife back in 07 and it was dissappointing right from the start. My 06 would smoke it everytime with the 800HO motor. Dealer has had the clutch a few times for updates, but she quit riding a couple of years ago and its time to send this machine down the road. Tough sell though when it doesn't run worth a damn.

I was thinking of calling SLP and trying one of their clutch kits. I'll pull the carbs and clean them, but the machine has ran doggy right out of the box. I've never cleaned the carbs on my 06 and it has ran like a champ all these years.

i would say your DPM is stuck. or the hose is leaking to the rave valve.. where do you live ? i have a 07 800X to. it rips... as far as clutching.. just need a differant spring and add some weight...

I'll look at the DPM, but I checked it last year and it looked brand new. I may pull the DPM off entirely and just jet it for altitude. I'll also take out the reeve valves, clean them and check the hoses. I live in western ND, but I have a cabin at the BigHorn mountains. It's been a couple of years since her sled has been up there though. It never ran good at the Horns or at home.

I would check all your rave hoses. My buddies did the exact same thing and the rave hoses were the problem.

Thanks for all your help I found a loose hose on the RAVE solenoid of course it had to be the back one that was hard to see and get to. I haven't got to ride it yet but it sounds a lot better and it will pull 8 no problem on the track stand. Thanks for everyone's help
