i was checking out a [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]2007 Summit X-RS 159 800 for sale on kijiji and have been thinking of picking up another sled this winter if i can sell my dirt bike. im currently on a 2005 arctic cat M7 so i am not sure how i would adapt to riding a doo, or if this years model was any good or not. any insight would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Check the miles on the sled if its close to 2000 miles and it hasnt had the engine replaced be carefull. Alot of the 07' 800s crapped the crank. Mine was @2250 miles but the new motor has bigger crank bearings to fix the problem.

new motor does not have bigger bearings. The only problem with motor was the bearings/ case, were too tight clearance. After the fix its the best sled in my opinion.Typically will put out 4 hp more than the XP model due to the intake and exhaust bend .Sled is very balance and has usable footwells unlike the XP

Great sled as long as all the updates are done or going to get done. There was a few clutch updates for primary and secondary, check the ECM/ connector for corroded pins, clean and apply dielectric grease, and yep the engine cases were too tight for the crank bearings and caused many crank bearing failures. IF the case has been updated it will have the letter "R" stamped next to the engine torque stop on the case. Other than that, the best chassis and the best motor - at least I think so.

cant go wrong with the rev chassis. just as the others say, check the motor for the R, and ask about the miles on the clutch. the 07 had a pre mature wear problem with the clutch. brew or dj could fill you in more on that. i love the rev, the xp is other people's cup of tea. not mine

Rave Hose leakage is a problem as the Mag side Solenoid has a fitting outside diameter that is way smaller than the hose inside diameter. Add to that, the clamp that is used by BRP to secure the hose to the fitting doesn't apply pressure all the way around the hose and leaves the hose oblong, creating a leak path.

07 ski doo

I'm on an 07 xrs and it seems to be a great sled so far. I dont know much different tho. I do know i went through several belts before my clutch updates got done. I'm just assumming it was related to the clutch issues....

07 Killer

The 07 Rev has a black eye because of its crank issues but we have 4 of them and let me tell you if you got through the first coulpe years and have a updated clutch and a good motor. The 07 rev is an untouchable sled on the hill when setup properly through clutching and a couple other simple mods. I have an 07 that is tricked out with a 2.5 inch CE and light weight stuff and it will enialate any new Xp, Cat of any color and size, and leave the polaris on the hill looking like a 600 kids sled. I love the sled and even though I will be riding a twisted M7 this season I will never let go of my 07 Rev.

Good to hear for you. I have done some new design changes on the 880 and I would sure like to see you step up to this new 880 setup.Very reliable and a torque monster.Flawless!rt now has The head design in the C&C program ready to cut,I just completed another for a spare motor.Totally agree the 07 when setup properly flat rocks!Whats interesting when run side by side with a XP with same motor the 07 will take it, I contribute this to a better intake/pipe bend and mapping curve.
