Agreed, the stock PowderLite track was poor performance in the mtn's do to it being so stiff lugged and a new lug profile, designed by the Bombi think tank for hill climbing on solidified snow (although that statement could be argued on a couple fronts).
I had the stock Powderlite in my XRS 159" for one season, i had to change it, just not good for me riding powder of GOlden/revelstoke alpine. Hell of a rooster tail behind me on the trail though!!!, i put on a powdermax off a 2006 summit (PowderMax 159 with stock porting) and really love that track for my style of riding.
Tracks USA/Canada also stocks the camoplast version (not ported) for pretty cheap pricing. By the time you sell the Powderlite (it is lighter, so some guys want that option), and buy the new/used powdermax, it doesn't cost alot just an evening of buddies and beer in the garage, i think it cost me a couple hundred overall and most of that was due to the shipping charges. I also noticed less rolling resistance with the softer track turning easier around the skid.
