2007 RMK 600 Needs some more jam!!!

I got my girl a 07 600 rmk 600 155 over a year ago now. Now at this time it has the slp pipe and can, v-force reeds, and clutching. She is starting to feel where my 800 comes in handy and now wanting alittle more.

A new sled is out of the picture for a few years. so we are looking for a few up grades.

One of the things that i'm a wondering is:
will a 700 or 800 top end fit on the bottom end of this motor?
also will a 800 engine fit in this sled?

Any help would be great.... to spruce her sled up.

Call Carls Cycle, Ask for Chris
Get a 660 kit and don't even think about the 800. Best $1350 you'll ever spend. Get the whole setup that he recommends as far as clutching and carb boring etc. etc.
The 700 or 800 top end will not fit!
After that, lightweight suspension, better boards, venting, will all add to make this an awesome sled, even against an 800. The 660 will surprise you.

I'll second that comment emphatically! Do the Carl's 660 big bore kit for her 07 and she'll have several more seasons of outstanding performance and reliability. I have one that never saw the snow as an 07 600. Flawless from day one for now three full seasons. It's automatic... you just put oil in, pump gas and go riding. If you do the full Carl's kit and set it up accordingly, once she is dialed for your situation ....NO BS this sled will outperform any stock 700 or 800 iq raw sled you can find. ANY!

They are very flexible in setups and work well in all kinds of conditions without constant tinkering. Dead on they are flat out awesome. Slightly fat and setup for any everyday rider to go play on without concern they are still way more then what she has now.

We still have great ridable spring conditions here in Idaho. If you are anywhere close to SW Idaho, Anthony Lakes Oregon, Halfway Oregon come on over and I'll take you for a test ride on the Carl's carb'd 660 and you can see for yourself. IMPRESSIVE and like already stated...it's the best overall performance value money you will ever spend on a snowmobile.

also note:

You're way better off to big bore the sb 600 rather then stacking 700 or 800 jugs and changing everything around to efi. Big money and big effort to do that. Also the small block 660 is much more fun then a big block 7 or 8 in this chassis and while it won't run with a BB 910 it's not far back and feels better for all around riding.

Yea how do they compare? ANYONE? I only have experience with thirty plus Carl's 660 or 685's so I can't really give any kind of report on an SLP big bore kit. We did used to have a couple 727's in the pack. One was a turd and one was an absolute standout. So it totally depends on all factors from design to application. The standout had significant influence from Struther's inside so that kind of taints the results.

I used to buck the system a bit and go my own way. Mostly because I am high maintanance and thought that a certain someone's should bow down to my greatness and offer me FREE STUFF. Guess what...while I normally ended up with some level of success and high performance it always cost me way more time, energy, and usually money then if I would have just sucked it up and went with Carl's full kit right from the start. THERE IS A VALUABLE LESSON IN THERE FOR SOME OF YOU! ( I paid for it...and offer that to you for free...you're welcome! )
