2007 m8

I have fallen in love with my 07 M8! I have 2700 miles on her with no problems whats so ever! Good on belts, smooth power, floats on the snow and just fun to ride:) There are a few things you can do to upgrade it or just ride it stock and have a blast!!!!

yes i have to agree my 07 M8 totally rocks. have never had sooooo much fun or been able to do so much extreme riding before in my life. melting issues were BIG with mine, but a little heat tape and some extra venting will take care of that. the nosno's are the bomb on the 07, best openings on any boards ever made!!!! the holes are huge and you'll never have to worry about your boards again:) add the bdx bumper kit and you've got yourself a tunnel setup as good or better than Any aftermarket one! i absolutley love mine, they haven't made a sled i'd sell this one for yet...

I agree with These guys. I have 2000 mi. on mine and it is as good as it gets. Original belt and plugs! I have piped, clutched, vented, no snos, boss seat , risers and simmons skis. this is the best sled I have ever owned. Considering a turbo kit but don't know if I would/could use it, I do know I certainly do not need it. This sled is soooo much fun to ride and I am a much better rider because of it.

The 800's

If you found a deal on an 07 M8 not a problem.

If you can buy an 08 or 09 for very little more money go for it.

The M8 has been in an evolution since it started as the M7, with little money and some shop time all these sled can perform better than the latest model.
07-09 engines are the same, the different programed brain box all different but engine will put out the same Hp give or take 1 hp.

The biggest change is the 08 09 rear suspension is better, still not that expensive to change if you get a good buy on a low miles sled.

1. check for oil and grease in clutch area.......indicates leaking DD drive, not a deal killer but a must fix.

2. check tunnel at seat/tank junction for any sign of warp or bending......someones been launching it.

3. look at weld joints on front suspension arms for signs of paint flaking excessively........meaning someone's been hitting stumps.

4. check belly pan just as it hits tunnel , it you try and glide over lots of rocks this is where it shows.

5. check track for lugs missisng..........no biggy becasue the first mod should be a Pclaw track

If you buy an 07, read all the clutching threads, or take to shop and have 09 clutching parts installed. Want it to run better yet ............all the imfo is here on on this forum.

Is this a good price

It has a left hand goldfinger throttle, a two inch riser block on the handle bars, running board inserts, ice scratchers, and a gas tank cover with the knee pads. It's got 1600 mile
The guy said its in great shape and wants $4900

From what I have found that's a good price

what do you all think???

I think that is a good price. But I suppose that would be relative to the area that you live. Here in AK people are still getting $5000 for M7's.

m8 mod

Only 1 more MUST DO mod for your sled Get a power claw. I can't stress enough that is your most bang for the buck (the camo extreme 2.5 is great as well) and look at everything catsledman said. Don't be to scared by the front a arm condition, I think every m I see has a little paint cracking at the welds. It does mean its been hit but they do take alot of abuse without failing AND there easy to change out. that price is OK just make sure the you don't need to spend money on the rest of the sled. i.e. fixing stuff down the road
