2007 M8 Mods

Picking up a 2007 153 M8 this week with 1000 miles on it.It already has the 2 wheel kit,SLP ceramic coated single pipe,3 inch riser and ported track.

We are at around 800 feet around here and mostly ride the transmission lines all winter.

I want to throw 500 to 1000 bucks into this sled and would like to know were to start.Like to bump up the horsepower to keep up with the summits XP and M1000,s i ride with.

I know your probaly saying just get a 1000 to start with, but i'm getting a good deal on the M8.

Thanks Steven

fastlanes no-sno's and side vents, bdx bumper conversion, since you've got the bar riser would also add handgaurds.

Side Vents, D&D shift assist, Black Diamond Airbox, F-Bomb Better Boards, Holz Re-valve of your stock shocks. Al that and I think you could still get that boss seat. Oh, make sure your sled has the extreme temp kit from A/C on(about $7) and check the coolant hose under the recoil starter. It will rub, protect it.

M8 finish

With what you've got you just need to dial your clutching.

Get shift assist, dump the 07-09 no adjust funky helix......pox on the cat clan, buy BDX kit/helix so you can adjust secondary clutch spring tension on the trail ( what the system was designed for ).

the slp pipe setup should have you running with the other sleds hp wise. but increase the air flow with bdx airbox and any clutch kit that converst to a torsional setup they will all work once you dial er in. what kinda fuel controler you runnin? either then that find a waty to soften up the rear skid for beter pow performance

check to make sure your clutching is align right, then ride it for a month and go from there. You might be surprised at what you already have. some rip out of the box and some don't.
