2007 m8 early engagement?

Im posting for a buddy who might buy a 2007 m8 tomorrow. Everything looks perfect except the clutch engages almost instantly when you touch the throttle, im not saying thats a bad that but thats really early compared to what ive seen. Could it just be a warn out primary spring? Everything is stock it only has 2500km though so thats not much.

Could be belt deflection to tight. Start the sled and lift the tail end... The track will probably start spinning and usually the primary will chirp a bit. Add a washer to the secondary. There should be a stack of them on the secondary bolt. Give that a try.

Could be a different spring with a low starting rate, check what color the spring is. Stock is yellow with a white stripe. Could very well be a weak or broken spring. Unless the belt is squealing at idle and the sled is moving forward on its own, there's no way the deflection has anything to do with the early engagement.

The primary spring could be broken--look it over, sometimes hard to see. Couple years ago mine did the same thing.

Had another buddy buy a new sled today to 2011 m8 and it was doing the same thing pulled the spring it was broke in half. The 2007 must be the same then. Thanks guys

and tell him to treat himself to the thunder products kit for that clutch...awesome upgrade...racinstation will get him going with the kit...
