2007 m8 162

Re: 07 M8

Not a lot of issues. Clutching is way off out of the box, torsional spring rear skid needs some "alterations" to work better. DD needs clean oil regularily, track is a camoplast challenger 2.25" - soft track that works ok at best. A powerclaw or challenger extreme is a much better track.
However, a little setup and a few bolt ons make this sled work very well. Do a seach on the forum for "geo mod", that will help the skid. Consider revalving the shocks, clutch it, and perhaps look for a SLP pipe set. If you can find a PC or challenger extreme, do it.

trouble free

I ride a 07 M8 162; I have 1800 miles on it and rode it today. All I have every done was put four new plugs in it this year, new belt last year changed the oil in the dimond drive. I didn't reflash the pcm; you learn how not to let it load up after you come down from a hard pull. Most reliable sled I'v owned.

absolutely love my 07 M8, a little clutching, venting and heat protection and it rips. tons of free to almost free weight loss. boondocks like no other, have 5,500 miles on mine. sitting here at the best western in mt. shasta waiting for the sun to rise to go and ride it again. did i mention i absolutely love this sled!!!
