2007 M1000 Exaust Temp. Probe

I know that there has been some information on this issue.
I have lost two Exaust Temp. Probes in 1500 miles WTF????
I talked to a dealer here in NSL and he tells me that he has not herd of many problems again WTF???
Then I called a dealer in Preston Idaho and they told me to feel lucky that I have only lost two again WTF???
Anyone have any answers???
Why does AC not recognize these problems and FIX them???

Exaust temp. probes

I just lost the third exaust temp. probe.
Installed a new one on Saturday April 4th put on approx. 25-30 miles on Sunday April 5th and another temp. probe TOAST!!!!
CAN ANY ONE SHED SOME LIGHT ON THIS FOR ME?

On the Turbo F1200 we use to lose them quite often.
We chocked it up to race fuel. Well after the third replacement and going over some of the updates for the F/Ms and XFRs we were enlightened to the fragile nature of the sensor. After using a cable tie to stabilize the sensor wire as it goes into the sensor itself. (Wrapped back on itself) It has seemed to definetly extend the life of the sensor. As they are very susceptible to vibration and shock.

Here is what I have found. When you install the new probe you need to wrap the wire back on itself and zip tie to prevent internal wire damage from vibration. They are very fragile and the M1000 shakes violently and damages them easily. Another thing I have found is that guys having multiple failures usually have an aftermarket pipe and 9 times out of 10 that pipe has a crack somewhere in it. You can wrap the pipe with a dampening band like SLP uses on all their singles and this will help. The failure is common and it is caused by vibration. If your dealer has never heard of this problem he shoud listen closer.
