2007 d7 engine interchange?

hello all
As winter fast approaches I am back on the hunt for a engine for my 07 d7. having issues finding an 07 will a 08 engine work? i'm more familiar to carb 700s. As I used to just buy a sled with a popped 800 in it every few years (my 700 carb has been in a wedge, two gen 2s, two edge chassis's then back to a gen 2 ....lol) but a couple of years ago I picked up a good deal on a turbo'd d7 with a popped engine. Tear down says new motor(case halves are good. one jug everything else is junk.....

any help would be greatly appreciated

700 CFI

The 700 from 2007 to 2010 are all pretty much the same. 07s I believe we're the only ones that had 2 ring pistons from the factory. The others were a single ring. Most of the differences were in the fuel maps. The other thing to watch for is that the ecu matches the injectors. Read the sticky at the top of the page. It helps you through a lot.
